Cuidad Quesada which overlooks the salt lakes of La Mata is situated around 11 kilomteres from the town of Torrevieja and is approximately 35 minutes drive from both Alicante and Murcia airports.It is an ideal place for both families and golfers to holiday. It has one of the best climates in the world and enjoys almost 300 days of sunshine per year.
Quesada is a new town and was the result of a childhood dream of Justo Quesada Samper to build his own town.Rising up on a hillside, close to the older town of Rojales, on the top of the hill you will find an excellent Aqua Splash water park with a great selection of slides and pools.
There is a good selection of restaurants, bars and super markets in the town, even an English butchers!! There are also restaraunts and shops outwith the centre.
Quesada also boasts its own 18 hole, par 73 (5799m) golf course, La Marquesa.The area is a golfer’s paradise and there are numerous other courses within easy driving distance. Villamartin, Las Rambles and Campoamar to name but a few.
Guardamar with its miles of sandy beaches is a ten-minute drive as is the beach at La Mata.Murcia with its beautiful cathedral is 35 minutes away and the ancient city of Cartegena is a similar distance.
